Nevertheless he was traded, the same year, to Marseille where Bernard Tapie paid him just 2 thousand millions of italian Lira.He was immediately lent to Cannes where he just played one game because of bureaucratic problems concerning his trade. The next year he made his debut with Marseille, winning both the Championship and the Champions League, and emerging as the top-scorer of both competitions.

Lazio ís Owner Sergio Cragnotti, admiring his performances, decided to acquire him for the next year (1993). With Lazio he proved to be a great leader but not a great scorer. He was often criticized for missing easy goals, but fans still loved him because of his commitment and generosity. Is first experience with Lazio ended after 3 seasons, 17 goals and 18 assists.

A troubled relationship with coach Zeman pushed him to Juventus in 1996.There he found a winning team which allowed him to achieve a Championship and an Intercontinental Cup, still emerging as a very powerful dribbler who lacks in scoring.Meanwhile Zeman left Lazio and Boksic came back to Rome.Lazio is now a very competitive team which added several ìstarsî and, finally, feels itself ready to win something.

This season, then, Beppe Signori was sent to Sampdoria and this move revealed itself to be a real turning point both for Lazio and for Boksic.Since then, infact, they both started playing a better and more winning football.Lazio became one of the strongest antagonists of Juventus and Alen began to score many more goals than usual.Being 28 he probably reached his maturity and if he can prove to be consistent as a scorer he could even aspire to the Golden Football.
